'learn to love & love to learn'
We have two sets of values which sit under our motto, learn to love : love to learn. The first set are the values for life which will help us to learn to love one another; the second set are our learning characteristics which we hope will make us lifelong learners.
Learn to Love:
We are respectful to everyone and everything.
We are kind in our thoughts, words and actions.
We always tell the truth and earn the trust of one another.
We are responsible for our own words and actions.
We accept people for who they are.
We are optimistic about the future.
We consider our actions and behaviour and learn from them.
We are thankful for all the good things that we have in our lives.
We are not afraid to have a go and try our best.
We believe we can.
Love to Learn:
We search for alternative solutions and apply our skills in different contexts.
We take on any role and call upon a range of knowledge to complete a task.
We are self-motivated, and keen, eager and excited about learning.
We are organised and can initiate our own learning.
We self-evaluate and improve what we do and understand how we learn effectively
We learn from our mistakes and keep on trying.
We question and challenge, taking time to think things through.
We interact well with others and are able to explain and reason.
We can select from a variety of resources and strategies to solve problems.
We will try something new and are willing to investigate.
